My walk with Jesus started in 2023. I was 50 years old and LOST! I had been trying and failing for 6 years to get sober. I tried everything but a conscious contact with God. I had just left my last detox and called on a friend who knew God. He was kind enough to pick me up from the sober house to take me to a meeting. While in the car he asked me a question. Do you know where you are going when you die? I answered with “I DON’T KNOW”. He asked me if I would like to know. I said yes!
My journey with God started at that very moment. He began to instruct me in what to read and what to ask myself daily. My miracle started when God relieved my compulsion to drink. I am now sober for 3 years. I only have God to blame, and boy has my life changed. I lost everything (Wife, Career, Family, Self Respect). Today I can say I have all that back and so much more than I deserve. My life is amazing! I am a product of God’s love, and I won’t let anyone or anything ever stand in my way of that again.
