Our Harvest Groups are designed to bring folks together, in a time outside of worship, to study God’s Word and develop relationships that will provide encouragement and the building up of one another (1Thessalonians 5:11).
We currently have three groups which meet each week – each group between 10 and 15 people.
On Wednesday night a group meets from 6:30 until 8:00 at the home of Deacon John and Maryellen Tosy in Wrentham, Massachusetts. The discussion generally revolves around the previous Sunday’s message. Notes are provided by Pastor Gene and are available for review. This group shares dessert together, a brief time of worship in song, prayer, and then the study.
There are two groups that meet each Thursday morning at the church from 9:30 until 11:00. One is for the men, and one is for the ladies.
The Men’s Group also uses the previous Sunday’s message as its launching point. Again, Pastor Gene’s notes are provided for all who ask. Sometimes there are breakaway sessions using Right Now Media as a resource. There is always a pot of hot coffee available!
The ladies have been studying various books of the Bible. They’ve studied Ruth, Esther, and others, and are currently engaged in a challenging study of the Book of Romans. The Woman’s Group usually decides together about what they’d like to study next. Sometimes they utilize videos and other resources.
All these groups have been meeting for many years and the fellowship among those attending is amazing!
