Inclement Weather Notice

What if We’re Expecting Significant Snow?

As was mentioned in another part of this website, urban ministry comes with its blessings and with its challenges. One of those challenges is parking!

Harvest only has a few onsite parking spots, and they’re generally set aside for those with small children or those with handicaps. However, ample parking is available either on the street, or in the municipal lot across the street from the Church.

The problem is SNOW! If the city imposes a parking ban, we have no choice but to cancel the worship service because the municipal lot will not be available to us. This happens rarely, but it does happen! ☹️

In the event of inclement weather conditions, we will (1) send out an e-mail to everyone on our Church mailing list, (2) change the voice mail on the Church’s answering machine to indicate the cancellation (765-1777 or 766-1777), and (3) post the cancelation on the local news stations (WPRI 12 and WJAR 10).

You can also find a list of closings due to inclement weather here: https://www.wpri.com/weather/closings/.

If poor weather is predicted, please check before you come.
