We’re delighted that you’re considering a visit to Harvest Community Church.
Harvest is an inner-city ministry with a deep commitment to God’s Word, God’s people and loving our community in Jesus’ name. At Harvest, you’ll find younger and older folks, new believers and seasoned Christians, families and singles.
The dress on Sunday mornings is casual (jeans are fine). But our desire to know God and to study His Word is anything but casual. The worship service at Harvest begins @ 10:00 and moves forward in a flow of praise, prayer and preaching.
We generally finish around 11:30 with some folks sticking around for coffee and fellowship in our upstairs fellowship hall.
Being an urban ministry comes with its blessings and with its challenges. One of the challenges is parking! We have a few spots on the side of the Church for those with small children or those with handicaps. But ample parking is available on the street and in a municipal parking lot just across the street from the Church (free of charge).
Children’s Sunday School and a Nursery are available. Families worship together at Harvest; after worship, children are dismissed to the Sunday School and the Nursery. Harvest’s Sunday School ministry provides fun, age-appropriate Bible lessons by a wonderful staff of gifted teachers. And in our Nursery, loving volunteers serve young children who are not yet ready for Sunday School. A Mother’s Room which offers a full view of the worship service is available for those with babies too young for the Nursery.
No matter who you are, you’re welcome at Harvest.
Are you an honest seeker? A doubter? A committed Christian? A skeptic? Are you fully convinced of your faith in Jesus? We believe that God’s Word has the answer to every question that may arise within your heart. So, come as you are! But fair warning: Don’t expect to stay the same! God’s Word has a wonderful way of revolutionizing the lives of those who take its message seriously! There’s an old cliché: God loves us just the way we are, but He loves us too much to let us stay that way! Well, that’s true, it really is. The Christian life is a journey of walking with Jesus down roads of the Spirit. And, as we do, we find that we’re becoming more and more like Him.
Our Deacons are available to assist you and our pastors are happy to sit with you to help you talk about whatever might be on your heart.
Harvest is a wonderful, loving family of believers who love Jesus and want to live for Him. We’re authentic, caring and serious about following Him in these difficult days. Is it the right fit for you? Come a few times and see. Ask God to give you peace as to whether or not this is where He’d like you to serve.
