MINISTRIES

Pastor Dave Medeiros leads an intimate adult Bible study each Sunday morning prior to the worship service from 9:15 – 9:45 at Harvest. Always anchored to the Sacred Text, the conversation is usually lively, and inspiring, bringing a mix of clear Bible teaching and insightful interaction.

Adult Sunday School does not meet the 1st Sunday of each month.

QUICK REVIEW

Harvest Youth Ministry

Harvest Community Church is blessed to offer families a variety of options for Christian growth and discipleship for children whom the Lord Jesus himself said, “Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for such is the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 19:14).

We believe that the education of the church’s children is a vital part of passing down the heritage of our faith to the next generation and Harvest provides as many opportunities as the Lord leads and equips us.

The purpose and mission at the heart of our youth ministries at Harvest is that our investment in each child will serve to compliment and reinforce the Christian values and principles they are taught and modeled in their home.

Please feel free to contact Pastor Steve Bacon with any questions.

OUTREACH MINISTRIES

Club J-ROCK

(Jesus Reaching Out Calling Kids!)

Club J-ROCK is a weekly outreach to the inner-city pre-teens who live at Woonsocket’s Morin Heights housing community.

The kids play a game, share a snack, learn to pray for their food, sing an interactive song and hear a short Bible story on their level.

J-ROCK meets from 10:00 to 11:00 each Saturday and offers wonderful opportunities to serve and invest in children. (All workers undergo a required background check before serving in any of our ministries to children.)

Click on the event calendar or contact Pastor Dave for more information.

SonShine Ministry

SonShine Ministry provides meals to those who are ill, have had surgery or a loss. Cards are sent out as well.  We reach out not just to our church family but their family and neighbors as well.

To date we have 11 volunteers. As of December 2016, we have delivered 40 meals, sent out 45 cards, and I have made 75 follow up calls.  This is a wonderful way of letting others know that we at Harvest are praying for them and care about them.

SonSplash Festival

SonSplash is a different kind of festival for the city. Everything is provided completely free of charge – Christian music all day long, hot dogs and drinks, popcorn and cotton candy, face painting, a tremendous array of activities for children, an inflatable bouncer, and drawings for prizes.

The festival offers an opportunity for our neighbors to come together for a day of wholesome fun, for seeing old friends and meeting new ones.

At SonSplash we simply come together to serve the community and celebrate our faith.
